Hello everyone finding the site from 3D Printopia this year. I have acquired and worked on many machines in the last year. I even tried my hand at a little short form content creation with them. Unfortunately it means none of the articles were ever really finished. I will eventually get back to this.
This Old 3D Printer is an attempt to take what would be me posting modern firmware configurations to my personal blog and instead build a project that others can contribute to. It appears we will also shift into some long form content creation to better help users of these printers. I recently had a teacher reach out to me about demonstrating their makerbot cupcake to students. The long standing idea for my first long form video would have covered everything I could possibly tell them. So I hope to get that video done before 2027.
